Bhopal: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Friday the launch of a new scheme aiming to enhance tourism and investment in Madhya Pradesh. During his speech at the 39th annual conference of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), he emphasized the state's potential in tourism, citing attractions such as the Vedic clock in Ujjain and the bustling tourism hub in Bhopal. Yadav also commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent train journey from Poland to Ukraine as a way to showcase India's significance on the global stage. The event featured the release of the IATO manual, a posthumous Hall of Fame Award presented to M L Rajdan of Rajdan Holidays, and an honorary recognition for Puneet Chhatwal, MD and CEO of Indian Hotel Company Limited. Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture, Sheo Shekhar Shukla, expressed optimism that the IATO Madhya Pradesh Convention would set a new standard for future gatherings and encouraged delegates to explore the state's historical sites, cultural heritage, and natural beauty. A cultural presentation entitled "Enchanting Madhya Pradesh: The Heartland of India" was staged by the Madhya Pradesh Government's Culture Department under the direction of Maitreyi Pahar.The performance highlighted the historical grandeur and captivating natural beauty of the state with a 40-minute dance featuring 53 artists. Kailash Sisodia and his group from Dhar region mesmerized the audience of tour operators from all over the country with their traditional Bhagoria dance of the Bhil tribe.
